Geoffrey A. Hakim, CFP®

Geoff has completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) program through the University of California (Berkeley). CFP studies include investment, retirement, estate, insurance, education and tax planning. CFP practitioners agree to abide by a strict code of professional conduct as defined by the CFP Board’s Code of Ethics.  Geoff has over 17 years of financial services experience after 12 years in commercial real estate as an investor, developer and commercial broker.  He continues to own commercial real estate. Professional memberships include the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and the Marin Estate Planning Council.  He is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) with the California Department of Corporations.  Geoff lives in Marin County with his wife, Elizabeth, and their son, Jeremy.


 

Michael Mink, Operations Manager

Michael is responsible for all portfolio administration including monitoring, asset allocation, client updates, portfolio rebalancing, establishment of new accounts, and satisfying a variety of client requests.  Michael's experience in the financial services industry dates back to 2001.  Before joining Marin Capital Management, Michael was employed by Smith Barney/Citigroup, where he obtained his Series 7, 63, & 65 licenses.  Michael provides expertise in operations and administration, as well as a broad knowledge of investment industry policies and procedures.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Michael lives in Marin County with his wife, Rebecca, and their sons, Andrew and Spencer.
                                                    
 

Greg Tull, CFA

Greg is a CFA charterholder.  The CFA charter is respected as the gold standard of professional credentials within the global investment community.  He is responsible for new client development, relationship management, and is a member of Marin Capital Management’s investment committee.  Greg has 17 years of investment industry experience.  He began working with individual investors in 2009 after serving institutional investors for the previous 12 years.  Greg started his career as an investment banker with J.P. Morgan.  He received his B.A. with Honors in Economics from Harvard University, after which, as a Rotary Scholar, Greg earned an MSc with Honors in Business from University College Dublin, Ireland.  He was Captain of the Harvard Swim Team and is a former American Record Holder and two-time All American.  Greg has considerable personal experience as an investor in private companies, hedge funds and venture capital funds.  He has helped raise over $10MM for non-profits and served as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of Marin Montessori School and Co-Chair of the Finance Committee.  Greg holds the Series 7 license to market investment advisory services.  He lives in Marin County with his wife, Linda, and their sons, Zach and Aidan.


 

Lenore Elle Hawkins, MBA

Lenore has 17 years of experience in finance, strategic planning, risk management and asset valuation. She found her life’s passion and began developing her expertise in guiding families through the complex world of estate planning, trusts and investment management after leaving her corporate position in order to act as Trustee of her family’s estate.  As Trustee, Lenore manages the family’s intricate legal, business management, business disposition, estate planning, asset management and life insurance needs.  Through this process she experienced first-hand the challenges families face when they lose a loved one and the myriad ”professionals” who are eager to take advantage of families in pain.  Her life’s mission is to protect families and their life savings.  Previously Lenore served as the Vice President of Corporate Development for Centara Capital Management Group, and as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development for National Mobile Television, the largest mobile broadcasting company in the U.S.  Lenore has also worked with JP Morgan and began her career with Accenture where she led consulting teams advising financial services clients, such as the Capital Group. Lenore holds B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. She is very active in her community, serving on the Board of Directors for The Dreyfuss Initiative; is a partner at San Diego Social Venture Partners, an organization which helps San Diego nonprofit agencies become more effective and sustainable; and is a lead partner from SDSVP to Reality Changers, a nonprofit that provides inner-city youth with the resources to become first generation college students.
